Privacy policy
Prepared with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA) in mind. Draft: have it reviewed before launch.
What we collect
- Renters: name, email, optional LINE ID, move-in date, stay length, number of occupants, budget and your message, only when you send an inquiry.
- Landlords: email (for login), name, phone and LINE ID if you add them, and your listing details and photos.
- Reports: the reason, details and optional email you provide.
- Basic technical logs (IP address, browser) for security.
Why we use it (legal basis)
- To pass your inquiry to the landlord you contacted (performance of a contract / your request).
- To send service emails: login links, inquiry notifications, availability reminders and one “Did you move in?” follow-up (legitimate interest).
- To prevent fraud and fake listings (legitimate interest).
Who we share it with
Your inquiry details go only to the landlord of the listing you contacted. We use service providers to run Eain: Supabase (database, login, file storage), Vercel (hosting) and an email delivery provider. These may process data outside Thailand under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
Inquiries are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted or anonymised. Landlord accounts are kept until you ask us to delete them.
Your rights
Under the PDPA you can ask to access, correct, delete or port your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. You can also complain to the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC). To exercise your rights, email us at hello@eainbkk.com. We reply within 30 days.
